Town Planner

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an award-winning independent planning and development consultancy in their hire of a Town Planner for their London based team!

My clients established planning team specialisises in large scale regeneration projects, infrastructure, housing and retail develipment, and are at the cutting edge of planning, development economics, socio-economics and enviornmental planning.

Duties of the role

The successful candidate will be tasked with supporting the team in the delivery of a variery of planning projects including taking an active role in suporting senior colleagues with all aspects of advice, planning applications and appeals. You will take an active role in supporting senior colleagues to deliver planning advice to clients across all planning disciplines.

You will provide concise, accurate, evidenced, and timely research and written documents (reports, letters, emails, etc) for line manager review, and review and interpret relevant legislation, Development Plan policy and other material considerations to inform the preparation of planning strategies by senior colleagues.

Candidate Requirements

  • RTPI accredited degree in relevant subject.
  • Previous experience in a wide range of planning matters, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams.
  • Positive, professional, hard-working attitude.
