A Local Authority in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Senior Town Planner to join their team on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic and operational development management of the Borough while working on a diverse range of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of development management within the Borough.
- Process and assess a variety of planning applications and appeals.
- Deliver presentations at Planning Committees.
- Represent the Local Authority at hearings and public inquiries.
- Provide professional advice on planning and related legislation.
- Contribute to the enforcement of planning control within the Borough.
- Comprehensive knowledge of planning legislation and related frameworks.
- Proven experience in the enforcement of planning control.
- Demonstrated ability to provide evidence at Public Inquiries.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
