ESOL Tutor - Outreach Tutor

Prospero Teaching is looking for a TEFL-Qualified Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people that require extra support.

You must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in their education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

We will work with you to monitor the progression of each pupil and support effective learning.

I am working with young people whose first language isn't English, so patience and understanding is crucial for this role.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - In and around Islington
  • Position - Qualified ESOL Tutor
  • Start date - ASAP
  • Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
  • Contract type - Temporary
  • Full time/part time - Part time and full time depending on needs of the students
  • Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate 25 per hour
  • Hours - Working hours can differentiate, minimum 1 hour per session and a maximum of 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • TEFL, QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
  • 6 months+ experience working in a UK school or teaching the UK Curriculum
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
