Associate Counsel - Fast-Growth AdTech Scale Up- Remote (UK)

We are delighted to be partnering with an innovative, high-growth AdTech business that is looking to appoint a Legal Counsel to support its expanding UK and European operations.

With a strong commercial presence, revenues exceeding £500mill and ambitious growth plans, this company is rapidly scaling across international markets. The Role

Reporting to senior commercial stakeholders, you'll be responsible for driving legal strategy across commercial transactions, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Advisory & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on commercial agreements, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
  • Act as a trusted legal advisor to sales and commercial teams, helping to structure deals that align with business goals.
  • Work closely with regional and global teams, supporting growth initiatives while mitigating risk.

Contract Drafting & Negotiation

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements including client, agency, and technology contracts.
  • Balance business objectives with risk management, ensuring contracts align with the company's commercial priorities.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to drive contract efficiency and best practices.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Ensure contracts and business operations comply with GDPR, data privacy laws, and other relevant regulations.
  • Develop and refine legal policies, supporting business teams with compliance-related training and guidance.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes, advising leadership on potential impacts.

What We're Looking For

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 5-7 years of experience in commercial law.
  • In-house legal experience within a high-growth industry (AdTech, MarTech, or technology preferred).
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven experience negotiating contracts in a fast-paced environment.
  • GDPR and data protection expertise - CIP certification or strong demonstrable knowledge.
  • Ability to collaborate with sales teams, balancing commercial objectives with legal safeguards.
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and adaptable, comfortable working in an evolving business structure.
  • Independent and proactive, able to take ownership of legal matters while working with remote teams.
