Claims Specialist - Solicitors Professional Negligence
London (Hybrid Working)

We are currently recruiting for a Claims Specialist on behalf of our client, a multi-award winning and highly established law firm.
Based within the Office for General Counsel, you will work directly with the General Counsel and Senior Risk Lawyer as part of an expanding, tight-knit team, and will receive significant training as part of this role.
This is a hybrid working position, with the successful candidate required to work at the company's London office 1-2 days per week or every other week.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the General Counsel and Senior Risk Lawyer in dealing with complaints, notifications and any resultant claims. This will involve interacting directly with insurers, partners and the client, as well as the regulator and ombudsman on occasion.
- Working closely with the company's panel law firms on Professional Indemnity matters, as required.
- Having the opportunity to shape the company's risk management practices.
- Gaining a solid understanding of how law firms are managed and, over time, becoming a trusted sounding board and regulatory advisor to the law firm Partners.
Key Requirements
- At least five years’ experience in dealing with Solicitors’ Professional Negligence Claims and complaints.
- Law firm related experience required, whether direct or within a solicitors’ PII broker, adjuster, or insurer to law firms.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong academic background.
