About The Role:

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role within a close-knit, yet diverse team that manages legal risk for the Scouts nationally? Our Legal Services Team partners with senior leadership and HQ teams on high-profile projects that directly impact the lives of young people across the country. We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Commercial Lawyer to lead on the Scout’s property work, including supporting the Scout Association Trust Corporation. 

In addition to property work, you’ll take on a variety of general legal and commercial responsibilities, including claims and litigation management, compliance, and regulatory support. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the Head and Deputy of Legal on managing legal claims, commercial and fundraising projects, and partnership initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities:•    Lead on property work for the Scouts, including support for the Scout Association Trust Corporation•    Provide general legal and commercial support, including claims, litigation, compliance, and regulatory work•    Improve processes and support for the Custodian Trustee service•    Collaborate closely with the Head and Deputy of Legal on a variety of projects•    Contribute to the growth and development of the legal function
