Description
- Identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest.
- Implementing and maintaining ethical walls within the firm.
- Providing guidance on the firm's conflict procedures and policies.
- Working closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Advising on conflict issues in relation to new business.
- Assisting with the development of training materials on conflicts management.
- Supporting the wider Business Services team as required.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of conflict management processes.
Profile
A successful Conflicts Lawyer should have:
- A law degree from a recognised university.
- A valid practising certificate.
- Experience working as a conflicts lawyer in a law firm.
- Strong knowledge of conflict management, SRA regulations and ethical walls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to work and ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
