We are currently partnering with a London based local authority, who are recruiting for a Contracts Lawyer on an initial five-six month locum basis.
This is a full time position which requires staff onsite a minimum of once per month and is offering a negotiable hourly rate dependent on experience.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting the Senior Contracts Lawyer with the increased workload as they deal with the work arising from the Procurement Act
- Providing legal advice to client teams across the council on a diverse range of procurement, contract and governance matters
- Supporting on various projects including: collaborative procurement, joint ventures, council owned companies, frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems and construction projects
Experience required:
- Experience working for a local authority
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
- Contracts and procurement law
- Construction contracts (including JCT)
Working hours:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday - Friday, 9am-5pm
