- Represent businesses in criminal and regulatory defence cases
- Provide legal advice and strategy for clients in regulatory matters
- Handle cases in Magistrates and Crown Courts
- Manage a varied caseload of criminal defence matters, including regulatory offenses
- Prepare legal documents, including defence statements and case summaries
- Conduct legal research, and ensure compliance with criminal procedure
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or CILEx
- Demonstrable experience in criminal defence, ideally with knowledge of criminal procedure in both Magistrates and Crown Courts
- Experience or an interest in working on regulatory defence matters (training can be provided)
- Strong legal research and drafting skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Must be self-motivated and able to work remotely
- Experience in regulatory law (e.g., health and safety, environmental, financial regulations)
- Previous experience working with businesses in a defense capacity
