We are working with an entrepreneurial law firm that specialises in providing tailored legal advice to start-ups, scale-ups, SMEs, and entrepreneurs. They offer a unique, flexible, and fully remote platform for mid to senior-level Lawyers looking for high-quality consultancy work, and pride themselves on their 'people first' approach and their recently obtained B-Corp status. They are currently looking for a specialist Data Protection and GDPR Lawyer to join them on a flexible consultancy basis.

This opportunity works well for those who enjoy a portfolio or fractional career and/or Lawyers who want to accept work that fits around other revenue streams. This consultancy work is non-exclusive and fully remote.

A client following is not required as the work will be provided by the firm. A competitive hourly rate is on offer.

Should consultants be interested in taking the lead in growing the Data Privacy and GDPR offering of the firm, this is a route they would consider. They could provide a monthly retainer fee to support this, alongside a competitive hourly rate for work undertaken.

It is likely that the successful consultant will have experience in supporting clients across a range of data protection areas to include marketing campaigns, transfers of personal data, data breach management, data and cookie mapping and audits, privacy policies and staff data privacy notices.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales.
  • Upwards of 6 years' PQE as a specialist Data Protection and GDPR Lawyer.
  • Training or some experience gained from a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US or Top 50 firm.
  • Experience in working with start-ups and growth companies.
  • A genuine interest in providing Data Protection and GDPR law related legal advice to SMEs, Start-Ups and Entrepreneurs.
  • Deep GDPR experience and a passion for doing data privacy work.
  • A drive to work in a refreshing and flexible manner.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Impeccable interpersonal skills.
