Fantastic opportunity for an Education Solicitor at Associate or Senior Associate level to join a Top 100 law firm within their Legal 500 Tier 1 Education Department.

Our client, a reputable Top 100 law firm, has received national recognition from the Legal 500 and Chambers UK for their exceptional work and strong sector based approach.

The firm has over 500 employees across multiple offices and they are continuing to grow year on year.

Our client's Education department is ranked Tier 1 in the Legal 500.

The Opportunity

Due to growth, the firm is looking to welcome and experienced Education Solicitor to the team, to specialise in representing academies and/or maintained schools (AMS).

The successful Education Solicitor will form part of the firm's specialist Regulatory Compliance team, that works directly with a range of schools, universities, colleges and charities.

With broad expertise in contentious and non-contentious work, you'll be experienced in advising MATS and SATs and local authorities on education law issues.

The firm's typical caseload includes:

  • Complaints against AMS clients
  • Equality Act discrimination claims
  • Student discipline hearings
  • Serious incident reporting
  • Admission appeals
  • Educational negligence claims
  • Critical incident management

Requirements

  • Experience in education law (respondent) gained from a similarly ranked education specialist department / firm
  • Strong regulatory compliance experience
  • At least 3 years' PQE
