Your new roleThe firm is looking for a skilled and driven Solicitor with a background in inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal, and advisory work within the healthcare sector. The role involves representing practitioners and entities such as MPS members, insurers/insureds, and the NHS. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload, delivering top-notch legal advice and representation to our clients. The role involves managing a varied caseload of inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal, and advisory matters from inception to resolution. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice, including drafting and reviewing documents and conducting their own advocacy. They will conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategy and decision-making, draft and review legal documents such as representations and submissions, and liaise with clients, medical professionals, and experts to gather information and evidence. Additionally, they will attend hearings as required, maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and documentation, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the Healthcare Team to ensure high-quality service delivery.What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 years' PQE.
- Strong knowledge and experience of handling inquests, regulatory, disciplinary, criminal and advisory matters.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a high-volume caseload effectively and efficiently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
