We are instructed by a rated London firm to source an experienced Immigration Lawyer to join their ranked team for a contract of 12 months. Successful individuals will have experience in advising businesses and individuals on a full range of corporate and personal immigration matters. The assignment will start at the end of April/early May, and will run for a duration of 12 months. The firm operates a hybrid working policy, with Lawyers spending 3 days a week in their London office.

The immigration team is consistently highly ranked within legal directories, and they are known for advising businesses and individuals on a full range of immigration matters to include:

  • Sponsorship based visa applications
  • Sponsor licenses and ongoing compliance with the sponsorship regime
  • Immigration compliance audits
  • Immigration routes enabling entrepreneurs and business people to establish UK companies and secure residence in the UK
  • British citizenship and indefinite leave to remain/settlement applications
  • Family and dependency based visa applications
  • Challenging unlawful Home Office decisions
  • Immigration issues arising from adoption and surrogacy
  • Immigration issues arising from corporate transactions and administrations

The successful immigration Lawyer can expect to be given notable client facing responsibilities, and the autonomy to run their own cases (with support from the team and Partner as required).

Applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales
  • Upwards of 3 years' experience within a leading legal immigration team within a City, West End or leading regional law firm
  • Experience of advising both businesses and individuals on the full range of UK immigration law (including corporate and personal immigration matters)
  • The ability to run with large business and complex individual immigration matters with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional client care skills
  • Outstanding technical accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • The ability to start a 12 month assignment by at the end of April/early May
