My client is seeking an EU Qualified Immigration Lawyer to join their growing law firm in central London.

The firm are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced immigration lawyer to work from their London or Brussels office. The role will initially be based in London with the potential for relocation to Brussels. You will be a qualified lawyer in the EU, ideally in Belgium or France, with experience and knowledge of EU immigration law. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to work between London and Brussels, and to be involved in generating and creating new business opportunities.

The firm are proud to have 40 years of history and offer services across HNW Immigration, International Protection and Human Right, White Collar Crime, Sanctions, Civil Litigation and Arbitration.

Main Responsibilities

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of EU immigration law• EU inbound immigration routes including Schengen visa applications, EU permanent residence permits, work permits, etc.Irish FBR and Passport applications• Drafting in French• Working knowledge of legal proceedings before the Belgian or French courts• Knowledge of the Refugee convention, and European and International human rights law (desirable)

Skills

• Written and spoken fluency in French and English• Excellent drafting ability• Outstanding knowledge of immigration law and the industry as a whole• Must be able to advise, internally and externally, across all areas of EU immigration law• Excellent client management and customer care skills• Demonstrable ability to lead a team with good organisational and interpersonal skills• Strong verbal and written communication skills• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all regulatory and compliance obligations• Strong commercial acumen and experience in creating new client relationships• High attention to detail

Qualifications

• Called to the bar in either France or Belgium (preferred)• EU qualified lawyer (essential)• Fluent professional French and English (essential)

The candidate must have an excellent (and demonstrable) drafting ability as well as a true commitment to achieving the very best outcome in some of the most difficult circumstances.
