A market-leading US law firm is seeking a Junior Associate (1-2 years’ PQE) to join their highly regarded Intellectual Property and Technology Transactions team in London. The department offers comprehensive legal services across the full range of IP and technology matters, working closely with corporate and private equity groups on complex transactions involving big data, AI, IoT, life sciences, and fintech. The team also supports litigation and arbitration groups on IP and tech matters and provides standalone advice on non-contentious issues, including the regulation of technology and AI.Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage IP, technology, and data protection aspects of corporate transactions
  • Advise on standalone IP and technology agreements
  • Stay abreast of legal, regulatory, and industry-specific developments in technology and IP law
  • Contribute to both internal and external publications and attend relevant industry events
Person Specification:The successful candidate will have:
  • 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in the London market or a similar common law jurisdiction (more or less experience will be considered)
  • A genuine interest in and technical/legal background in IP and technology law
  • Experience advising on IP, technology, and data protection in corporate transactions
  • Strong knowledge of standalone technology and IP agreements
  • The ability to keep up-to-date with developments in the ever-evolving areas of IT, IP, and data protection
