Our client, a leading US Law Firm is seeking a Legal Business Development Specialist to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, providing a high level of support to Partners and Lawyers in assisting with the efforts to generate increased business for the Firm.

The successful Legal Business Development Specialist work closely with the Seniors within the team overseeing Europe, where you will support with Business Development efforts utilising research, writing, marketing, technical and communication skills to create material of the highest standard to spearhead the initiative of the European practice.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Business Development role in a Law Firm, where you have become used to working at Partner level in order to assist the Business Development function within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Business Development Manager on the development and implementation of the business development strategy and assist with coordination of special projects, including research, client outreach, events and overseas trips

- Identify new opportunities for business development

- Coordinate with legal directories,

- Assist with preparing and reviewing pitches, RFIs, RFPs and placemats

- Identify and coordinate speaking and sponsorship opportunities, managing local relationships with conference organisers

- Analyse data from events and provide summaries and recommendations

Undertake research to develop information on potential clients

- Assist and manage the creation of presentation and material for client proposals and pitches

Key Experience:

- A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar Business Development role within the Legal field

- First class writing and editing ability, along with proofreading, grammar and research skills

- Understanding of transactional terminology and processes, as well as an understanding of corporate litigation terminology

- Proficiency across social media and website contents

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in your work at all times

- German and / or French language skills is a plus

- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with colleagues, clients and third parties of all levels
