LEGAL COUNSEL - ASSET MANAGEMENT FIRMLONDON£100,000 - £110,000 BASIC SALARYPERMANENT ROLERole Overview:Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is presently representing an internationally operating financial asset management firm in their search for a Legal Counsel to join their London based team. With a multi-billion dollar AUM this firm is extremely well established and backed by world leading financial institutions, but is also growing quickly and extremely ambitious.As a member of our clients in house legal team you will need to be a transactional lawyer with financing experience who is hungry to take ownership of deals. You will work with key stakeholders both in-house and externally, on various legal matters. This role presents a significant opportunity to grow professionally and to lead on big-ticket cross border financing deals from NDA to closing.Key Role Accountabilities:

  • Take the lead on complex financing transactions (cross-border), partnerships, and investment agreements
  • Handle legal matters in fields such as securities law, corporate governance, financial services regulation and litigation.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and close commercial contracts, including service agreements and related documents with partners, resellers, and vendors
  • Interface with foreign legal counsels
  • Provide general ad hoc support on other corporate and commercial matters

The successful candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of post-qualified experience
  • Legal experience gained either from a reputable law firm or in-house at an asset management firm
  • Experience of working regularly on financing transactions, funds formation or M&A transactions.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Outstanding communication skills
