City Elite are seeking an experienced Legal professional who has experience dealing with shipping and commodities. Our client is an international Energy Trading and Shipping firm.

This is an in-house role based in their London office.

Role Overview:

  • Focus on marine energy supply, cargo trading, and vessel operations
  • Work with global trading, shipping, and commercial teams
  • Handle complex regulatory and compliance matters
  • Manage disputes and transactions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft/negotiate marine fuel supply agreements
  • Handle vessel chartering and fleet management issues
  • Advise on shipping regulations and sanctions
  • Support LNG and alternative fuels development
  • Manage maritime claims and disputes

Required:

  • UK-qualified solicitor/barrister/foreign lawyer
  • 2-3 years PQE from top shipping/commodities law firm
  • Strong shipping/commodities law expertise
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • First-rate analytical skills
