Sellick Partnership is pleased to be working with a growing insurance company looking for a Solicitor to join them as their first legal hire on a permanent basis.

The insurance-specific legal work is outsourced to Private Practice; therefore, the successful Legal Counsel will be joining the organisation to undertake more commercially focused contracts work.

This is an exciting opportunity to establish the internal legal function with both internal and external stakeholders. You will be working closely with the CEO and CFO. This company is going through significant growth and is being backed by new equity partner to develop into new markets.

Our client is looking for someone on a full time basis but willing to consider 4 days a week.

As the Legal Counsel, your role will include, but is not limited to:

  • Drafting, negotiating and amending a variety of Commercial Contracts at varying complexities with a large scope of work
  • Opportunity to gain experience with M&A
  • Establish relationships and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
  • Managing the relationship with external solicitors for the insurance specific work
