Legal Service Manager/ Full time / Permanent / Hybrid / £61,000My client, one of the UK’s housing associations, are looing for a Legal Service Manager to join their litigation team in the London office. To be considered for the position you should be a qualified legal professional with excellent experience in litigation and ideally have experience with social housing. As a Legal Service Manager, you will focus primarily on ASB and should be confident in managing your own caseload. Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Legal Services (Litigation) team, demonstrating organisational values and fostering a positive team culture
  • Oversee the ASB workstream, ensuring timely and effective responses to critical cases, including those involving domestic abuse
  • Create and maintain tools, templates, and precedents to ensure consistency and efficiency in legal practices
  • Deliver training and provide guidance to team members and internal stakeholders on ASB and related legal issues
  • Handle a personal caseload of housing management litigation, including ASB, tenancy fraud, and possession matters
  • Prepare and review legal documents, such as claim forms, injunctions, and witness statements
  • Provide updates on ASB-related cases to senior management and key stakeholders
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to improve processes and ensure effective case resolution
  • Engage and manage external legal services or counsel when needed
  • Conduct legal research and advocacy, upholding high standards in service delivery
Essential Skills
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive is required
  • Proven expertise in housing management litigation, including social housing sector experience
  • Proficiency in legal drafting, case management systems, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to lead and develop a team, manage change, and implement best practices
  • Familiarity with ASB laws, the Equality Act 2010, and regulatory framework
  • Experience managing legal teams and providing training is desirable
  • Knowledge of process improvements in litigation casework
  • Understanding of cultural change management in complex environments
