My client is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their growing law firm in central London.

The firm are proud to have 40 years of history and offer services across HNW Immigration, International Protection and Human Right, White Collar Crime, Sanctions, Civil Litigation and Arbitration.

Reporting to the Partners, the successful applicant will handle a diverse and challenging workload to facilitate the delivery of the firms’ legal services.

Responsibilities

• Management and oversight of the Administration and Support functions• Support to the IT, Finance and Compliance teams, including management of the breaches register• Organisation of the firm’s business and buildings insurance• Approval and monitoring of weekly office supplies• Review and update of all Office Manual policies• Planning and coordination of all training• Management of all employee relations matters• Management and administration of all recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, covering the full employee lifecycle• Absence management• Performance management• Monitoring chargeable hours and utilisation• Working with Partners and other stakeholders to manage non-billable commitments• Responsibility for ensuring all employees have up-to-date right to work status• Management and coordination of the internship and work experience placement programmes• Project Management as required

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Practice Manager, or People or Operations Manager in a law firm• Strong knowledge of the SRA Code of Conduct and Accounts Rules• Demonstrates a growth mindset and is committed to lifelong learning to build knowledge and expertise• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to quickly build relationships• Strong focus on day-to-day resource management and delivering continuous positive impact on business performance• Ability to manage tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment• Exceptional time management and organisational skills• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills• Commercially minded with strong risk management and business acumen• Strong IT skills
