Private Client Solicitor

12-Month FTC with Potential for Permanent Position

Greenwich

Premier Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm based in Greenwich. We have an exciting opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor to join the firm's Wills & Probate Department, based in their Greenwich office.

Role Overview:

  • Job Title: Private Client Solicitor
  • Location: Greenwich
  • Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC) to cover maternity leave, with the potential to become permanent
  • Salary: 55,000 - 60,000 per annum
  • Start Date: January 2025
  • Work Pattern: Full-time, office-based initially, moving to a hybrid model (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home) following approval from the Partner

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5+ years PQE (Post-Qualified Experience) in Wills & Probate
  • Experience in drafting wills, tax planning, administering estates, and managing Lasting Powers of Attorney and Trusts
  • Strong client relationship management skills
  • Compliance with Law Society, Lexcel, ISO, WIQS, and Solicitors Regulation Authority standards

Department Focus: The Private Client team provides expert legal advice and handles non-contentious legal work, focusing on wills, probate, tax planning, lasting powers of attorney, deputyship orders, and trust deeds.

Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on Wills, Probate, Trusts, and Estate Administration
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents
  • Managing client expectations and communication
  • Ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering procedures
  • Meeting fee targets and contributing to the firm's business development through marketing and client acquisition

Systems and Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Tikit, Oyez legal forms, Westlaw, Practical Law, and other legal software is beneficial.

This position offers flexibility for candidates who are looking for a fixed-term contract or those interested in transitioning to a permanent role at the end of the FTC.
