My client is a top international law firm with their Antitrust, Competition & Trade team at the forefront of the field. They have an excellent opportunity on offer at the moment for an experienced Professional Support Lawyer, or someone who is currently in/has recently left a senior role in private practice, to join their practice in the firm's London office. The Team:
  • Their Antitrust, Competition & Trade team delivers high-quality work across EU and UK mergers, investigations, litigation, behavioural advice, and regulatory matters, including sanctions. They also provide expertise in public procurement, state aid, and consumer enforcement issues.
  • Their collaborative, internationally focused team handles a balanced mix of transactional, contentious, and advisory work, with a strong emphasis on cross-border projects.
The Role:As a Professional Support Lawyer (PSL), you will shape the team's knowledge strategy by creating and managing resources, monitoring legal developments, and supporting the team with training and expertise. You will also collaborate with partners and other teams to drive innovation and efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge Management: Develop and maintain high-quality resources, templates, and training materials. Analyse legal developments and ensure the team stays ahead of regulatory changes.
  • Training & Development: Organise and deliver training sessions for team members, trainees, and new joiners. Support cross-practice training initiatives.
  • Business Development: Create client-facing materials, alerts, and thought leadership articles. Collaborate on seminars, webinars, and regulatory initiatives.
  • Innovation: Work with the Innovation team to adopt AI and technology tools that enhance client services and team efficiency.
The Candidate:
  • Experience: Senior-level private practice or PSL experience in UK & EC competition law, including merger control, investigations, and anticompetitive agreements. Trade or sanctions experience is a bonus.
  • Skills: Strong organisational and communication skills, with a passion for legal developments and innovation.
  • Qualifications: EU qualifications are advantageous, particularly for Brussels support.
