Renewable Energy Solicitor

Nationwide (Remote or Exeter / Leeds HQ)

Are you a Solicitor with expertise in real estate and renewable energy, looking to make an impact in the fight against carbon emissions?

My client, a pioneering force in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a skilled legal professional to support their ambitious mission of reducing 1 million tonnes of CO2 by 2025.

You will provide practical, commercially sound legal solutions for real estate and renewable energy projects. This includes handling property transactions, lease agreements, and land registrations, as well as advising on Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and compliance for solar, wind, and hydro projects. Your expertise will be key in ensuring smooth transactions and regulatory adherence.

The ideal candidate is an experienced solicitor with a strong background in property law and a passion for sustainability. You should have a proven track record in managing complex real estate transactions and renewable energy projects. If you're commercially minded, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a zero-carbon future, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

This role offers flexibility, with the option to work remotely or from the Leeds / Exeter office.

The Role

  • Manage real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leases, and due diligence.
  • Provide legal support for renewable energy projects such as solar, wind, and hydro.
  • Draft and negotiate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other key contracts.
  • Advise on regulatory compliance, land use, and environmental matters.
  • Ensure the business is legally protected across all areas of operation.
