Service Care Legal are seeking an experienced and exceptional Senior Lawyer to join a local authority in the North Lodnon region. As a Senior Lawyer, you will be the trusted advisor to the council, providing high-quality legal advice and guidance on complex local government matters. ROLE:                  Senior Adult LawyerLOCATION:         North LondonRATE:                   £55.00 to £60.00 per LTD (DOE and interview performance)CONTRACT:        Initial 3 months with possibility of extension, 36 hours per weekAbout the Role:As a Senior Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of local government matters, including Adult Social Care, education law, and other areas of expertise. You will work closely with senior officers, councillors, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality services that meet the needs of the community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on complex local government matters
  • Lead and participate in service-wide projects and initiatives
  • Develop and implement effective case management systems to ensure timely and efficient delivery of services
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including councillors, senior officers, and external partners
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior staff to develop their skills and expertise
Requirements:
  • Qualified to practice in England and Wales as a Solicitor, Barrister, or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives
  • Extensive experience of managing and supervising lawyers and support staff in an in-house legal practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong practice management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
