About the Senior Childcare Advocateposition:

Sellick Partnership are delighted to be recruiting a permanent Senior Childcare Advocate to join our London Borough clients reputable legal team. Our client is seeking a qualified lawyer who has experience advocating in childcare cases, preferably from a local authority setting but they are open to applicants from private practice who want to transfer their skills. The role can be worked on a hybrid working basis, and the successful candidate will be expected to attend the office three times per week.

The successful Senior Childcare Advocate will possess:

  • Strong experience in childcare law with the ability to hold a caseload of child protection cases, adoption law cases, matters relating to the Children Act 1989 and any other social care related issues that pertain to the Council
  • The ability to attend court, tribunals or public enquiries conducting high quality advocacy in the High Court, Family Court and Coroners Court
  • A can-do attitude and confidence to supervise the legal assistants as well as the trainees in the team
  • Ability to anticipate problems and solve them accordingly
