Absolute Law Recruitment are supporting a well respected law firm in Surrey who are looking to appoint a Senior Commercial Litigator 6yrs+PQE into their team.
You will be working closely with the Department Head, running your own case load and progressing cases jointly with partners. The successful candidate will have experience in a broad range of commercial litigation work, including shareholder/director disputes, breach of contract and warranty claims, negligence, and other torts.
Your case load will consist of: professional negligence, partnership disputes, claims for an account as well as disputed terms; shareholder disputes, s994 Claims and derivative claims, contact and tort disputes. High value claims, almost exclusively High Court BPC/Chancery. There will also be an opportunity to work with the Property Litigation team as caseload demands/permits on party wall and basement disputes, 1954 Act claims and dilapidation claims.
Experience:
- The teams case load is almost exclusively High Court and you will need to demonstrate experience of working in the Business & Property Courts and in accordance with the Disclosure Pilot.
- Experience of electronic disclosure and use of e-disclosure platforms.
- Ability to plan, manage and strategize high-value litigation.
