Senior Solicitor/Head of Department Property, North West London, Permanent, £60-65k plus substantial bonus

Our client, a Legal Services Company in North West London, requires a Senior Solicitor/Head of Department Property to lead the Property team. You will have experience in Residential and Commercial Property Law and supervisory skills. Excellent package! This role will be in the office 5 days per week initially with a view to becoming hybrid.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee your own case load in residential conveyancing
  • Provide expert legal advice tailored to individual client needs
  • Draft clear and concise legal documents and advice notes
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, ensuring high performance
  • Lead business development initiatives to generate new clients and opportunities
  • Represent the firm at networking and business development events
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and needs
  • Ensure compliance with the firm’s quality policies and CQS standards
  • Achieve agreed financial and billing targets set by the Partners
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the development of team members
  • Promote the services of other departments to existing clients
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team and the firm
  • Stay current with legal developments and comply with CPD requirements
  • Prepare and deliver training sessions for junior staff and new recruits

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate
  • Extensive experience in residential conveyancing; commercial conveyancing experience is desirable
  • Proven track record in managing a team and driving performance
  • Strong business development skills with a focus on client acquisition and retention
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and advice
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in office IT applications and legal software
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Understanding of financial management and billing processes
  • Knowledge of compliance standards, including SRA Accounts Rules
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development (CPD)
