With a strong focus on contentious work, particularly in dry shipping, the firm acts for a broad international client base including shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, and traders.The firm is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (title commensurate with experience) to join its busy and close-knit team, with a primary focus on contentious dry shipping matters.Key responsibilities:
- Handling a wide range of dry shipping disputes, including charterparty, bill of lading, and cargo claims.
- Advising clients on LMAA and other international arbitration proceedings, as well as High Court litigation.
- Working closely with partners on complex, high-value cases while managing your own caseload.
- Contributing to business development and client relationship management initiatives.
Candidate profile:
- England & Wales qualified lawyer with 3+ years PQE.
- Strong academic background and solid training at a recognised shipping or commercial litigation practice.
- Demonstrated experience in contentious dry shipping work.
- Confident, commercially minded, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
