Our client are a global law and litigation firm based in London, a business that has seen significant growth over the last few years and have a forward thinking Managing Partner and HR team that invest heavily in the growth of the business and support of their staff.

With an excellent culture and low staff turnover they are looking to recruit a NQ or up to 5 years PQ Associate for their International Arbitration team with a Salary starting of £90k plus 15% bonus, please note you must speak Spanish for this role due to the work they do, either fluent or mother tongue.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead research and analysis on complex arbitration issues, providing practical and strategic advice and support  

• Draft key procedural and substantive documents, including pleadings and witness statements.

• Ownership of document production and related workstreams, managing large volumes of documentation effectively.

• Draft substantive correspondence and legal memoranda.

• Liaise with co-counsel and other stakeholders, building strong professional relationships.

• Assist in the preparation and conduct of hearings, including witness interviews, expert reports and the organisation of evidence.

• Represent the firm at client meetings and contribute to case strategy discussions.

• Supervise the work of paralegals and trainee solicitors.

• Engage in business development activities, including drafting marketing materials and attending conferences.

Skills and qualifications:

• Minimum 2:1 (or equivalent) law degree secured at a leading university.

• Civil law qualified lawyers should have secured an LLM in international arbitration or public international law at a leading university in a common law jurisdiction.

• Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales or holding an equivalent foreign law qualification.

• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).

• Strong understanding of international arbitration law and procedure, both in respect of commercial arbitration and investment treaty arbitration.
