Our client are an independent charity dedicated to providing specialist advice on housing, community care, debt, and welfare benefit matters and they are recruiting for a Supervising Solicitor with expertise in Housing or Community Care Law to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of post-qualification experience and be capable of supervising two members of staff. While an understanding of CCMS and Legal Aid is preferred, it is not essential. This role is preferably office-based in SW London, but flexible arrangements can be discussed with the management committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist legal advice on housing and community care matters.
  • Supervise and support two members of staff.
  • Manage a caseload of clients, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
  • Liaise with clients and keep them updated 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of office policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in Housing or Community Care Law.
  • Proven ability to supervise and mentor staff.
  • Strong understanding of legal principles and practices.
  • Ideally, some knowledge of CCMS and Legal Aid processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal advice and support.

Working Conditions:

  • Preferably office-based, with flexibility to discuss alternative arrangements with the management committee.
