We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Family Support and Specialist Programmes department.

With a background in counselling, psychology or another related profession the Development Manager will lead our Specialist Programmes function, helping us to grow our therapeutic programmes and external training provision across the UK and wider geographical areas.

We are looking for someone to join our team who has experience of developing and delivering therapeutic programmes in an addiction, mental health and/or criminal justice setting and ideally, some experience of teaching/training others at a professional level.

This is an exciting time for our department and organisation and you will have the opportunity to grow a brand new function, working alongside a passionate and dedicated team.

What you will be doing?

Part of the Family Support and Specialist Programmes department in the Research and Development Directorate, this role will be responsible for the development and implementation of a range of specialist therapeutic programmes, including those which can be delivered across a range of service settings and enhance our family support service. The role will also develop income generating training and support business development activities to engage a wide external audience.

What are we looking for?

With a high level of therapeutic knowledge and experience and a good understanding of learning and development requirements in the field, this role will lead on the development and income generation of our specialist programmes and interventions.

The post holder should be prepared to operate under remote management, be able to work autonomously and under their own initiative, whilst maintaining excellent collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Person specification

We are looking for an experienced professional with:

  • A professional qualification in counselling, psychology or other related subject area.
  • Experience of delivering therapeutic interventions in the addiction and/or criminal justice sectors.
  • Experience of designing and delivering therapeutic interventions in an addiction, mental health and/or criminal justice setting.
  • Experience of teaching/training others.
  • Experience of working with external stakeholders, building partnerships and maintaining excellent working relationships.
