e-Discovery Project Manager - London/Jersey/Guernsey

A forward-thinking law firm is looking to hire an e-discovery project manager in London, this is a brand-new role that has arisen due to the continued development of their e-discovery team.

This new role covers a variety of areas including project management, client liaison, platform management, quality control and training & support. You'll be involved with leading end-to-end management of e-Discovery projects, designing and implementation of workflows for document reviews and overseeing the collection, preservation, and processing of electronic data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading end-to-end management of eDiscovery projects, including scoping, budgeting, timeline management, and client reporting. Working closely with legal teams and clients to ensure that project goals are met within agreed timelines.
  • Overseeing the collection, preservation, and processing of electronic data. Ensuring defensibility and accuracy, maintaining a complete chain-of-custody for all data collected.
  • Managing eDiscovery platforms, ensuring data is processed, loaded, and maintained for review and analysis.
  • Designing and implementing workflows for document reviews, ensuring processes align with best practices, firm policies, and legal standards.
  • Coordinating with external service providers for tasks such as electronic disclosure, translations, and forensic analysis.
  • Conducting quality checks on processed data and review output, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications. Generate reports and status updates for clients and internal teams.
  • Providing user support and training to internal teams and clients on eDiscovery tools, review platforms, and data-sharing solutions. Troubleshooting any issues and managing expectations across all parties involved.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Solid eDiscovery knowledge supported by a relevant professional qualification (such as Certified E-Discovery Specialist, Association of Certified E-Discovery Specialists or Project Management Professional) and/or experience in using industry recognised eDiscovery platforms (such as Disco, Relativity and Nuix) would be desirable.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex eDiscovery projects from start to finish, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities.
  • A developed understanding of other technologies and services used by leading law firms in dealing with digital evidence, including but not limited to computer forensics, eDiscovery review platforms and electronic bundles.
