We have an exciting new role to join an established Pension Consultancy in their Scheme Benefits team as a Pensions Implementation Consultant to lead transition projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, to a high standard, and within a controlled project environment.

About the Role

Sitting within the Implementation Department, the Scheme Benefits team is responsible for implementing first-class pension administration solutions for both new and existing clients. The projects range from large-scale strategic transformations to bespoke client solutions, working closely with various stakeholders.

As a Pensions Implementation Consultant, you will play a key role in project delivery, working alongside the Data Team to onboard data and the Configuration Team to automate calculations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client implementation projects, driving the gathering, interpretation, and documentation of client requirements.
  • Translate requirements into system solutions and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve queries and issues efficiently.
  • Act as a key point of contact in client meetings and project status calls.
  • Mentor, develop, and coach Implementation Analysts.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team and department.
  • Assist in project management, including identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Facilitate internal and external system training, providing documentation as needed.
  • Support the technical development of our pension platforms through analysis, design, and specification production.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong technical pensions knowledge, particularly in Defined Benefit schemes and legislation.
  • Ability to explain pension member records, scheme structures, and applicable calculations.
  • End-to-end project lifecycle experience, including initiation, governance, control, and closure.
  • Excellent client relationship skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Experience in leading and owning projects, with a proactive and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
