A Project Manager is sought by this Legal firm to lead and manage a newly created team and ensure that new technology or processes are adopted effectively and efficiently across the firm. This is an excellent opportunity to drive and lead adoption of new tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Project Manager

  • Lead the delivery of complex, high-priority change initiatives that are vital to the firm’s success.
  • Implement and maintain a consistent project management framework to ensure timely, efficient project completions.
  • Standardize project management methodologies across the firm for consistent, high-quality results.
  • Provide guidance on all aspects of project planning, including scoping, scheduling, and change management while remaining accountable for the outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Information Systems (IS) team to ensure the integration of effective technological solutions.
  • Stay informed of ongoing business activities to align change projects with broader firm initiatives.
  • Establish a regular and transparent cadence of project updates to keep stakeholders informed on project progress.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and support to colleagues managing their own projects.

Skills & Attributes of the Project Manager

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a UK law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong grasp of established project management methodologies and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects while driving operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in change management, especially within business transformation contexts.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage resources efficiently to deliver priority transformation programs.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels of the firm.
  • Preferred qualifications include a degree in business management, technology, or a related field.
  • Desirable certifications include the Association of Project Management, Prince2, Scrum, Managing Successful Programmes, or Agile Project Management.
