Job Title: Quality ManagerSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience)Location: Ruislip, Greater LondonTemp to permParkside Recruitment are seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a precision engineering company based in Ruislip.About:Our client is a leading precision engineering company based in Ruislip, specialising in high-quality, precision-manufactured components for industries such as aerospace, automotive, and medical.Position Overview:As the Quality Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and control processes within our client's precision engineering operations. You will lead a team of quality professionals, ensuring that all products meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead the quality team in conducting audits, inspections, and tests to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, from raw materials to final product inspections, including the management of non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and design teams to ensure quality is built into the manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor and analyse quality performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage customer complaints and ensure timely and effective resolution of quality-related issues.
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials and components to meet high-quality standards.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the quality team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with precision engineering processes and techniques, including CNC machining and toolmaking.
  • Experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving techniques, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ability to manage and lead a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience with quality inspection tools and software is desirable.
  • Formal qualifications in engineering or quality management would be advantageous.
