A highly respected and forward-thinking engineering organisation, operating within the Life Science, Healthcare, and Education sectors across the UK & Ireland, is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager.

Suitable applications are invited from individuals with the expertise spanning the entire lifecycle of Construction and M&E projects. As Quality Manager you will be overseeing the quality assurance and quality control of all projects ensuring that all systems meet design specifications, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and the company’s quality standards. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain high standards of workmanship and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within the budget without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive quality plan. Essential for this role is the ability to show skill in developing and maintain systems and processes for Construction and Commissioning stage sign off of projects. An advanced knowledge of Excel is a pre-requisite for this role
  • Perform inspections and audits to ensure that all work complies with project specifications, industry codes, and regulations.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify potential quality issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Participate in project meetings to provide input on Construction quality issues, reporting on progress, and resolving quality concerns as they arise.
  • Oversee and manage all testing and commissioning of systems, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to quality requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports, ensuring all documentation is up to date and accurate ready for review or submission to senior management.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they comply with quality requirements, performing audits and inspections, as necessary.
  • Review and approve quality-related submissions from subcontractors, such as material certificates, calibration certificates, and installation records.
  • Related Degree in either Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as Quality Manager within construction.
  • Proven experience in Quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality control processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
