You will lead a team of quality professionals, ensuring that all products meet stringent customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
- Lead the quality team in conducting audits, inspections, and tests to ensure products meet industry standards and customer specifications.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, from raw materials to final product inspections, including the management of non-conformance reports and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and design teams to ensure quality is built into the manufacturing processes.
- Monitor and analyse quality performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage customer complaints and ensure timely and effective resolution of quality-related issues.
- Liaise with suppliers to ensure materials and components to meet high-quality standards.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the quality team, fostering a culture of quality awareness and accountability.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Proven experience in a Quality Manager role within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and quality management systems.
- Familiarity with precision engineering processes and techniques, including CNC machining and toolmaking.
- Experience in root cause analysis, problem-solving techniques, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to manage and lead a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with quality inspection tools and software is desirable.
- Formal qualifications in engineering or quality management would be advantageous.
