This would be a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong experience in developing utility scale renewable energy projects looking to add leadership elements to their experience. Our client was founded by two of the most experienced heads in the renewable energy business and have build significant portfolios across Europe over the past years. Currently, their pipeline sits at 10GW with 50% of this being in the UK. With all the uncertainty in the sector at the moment, you can rest assured that your projects will move forward - earlier this year, this company propelled nearly a GW of projects through the planning system. The team in the UK currently sits at just over 30 and this is across land acquisition, planning consents, project development, project design, and grid connection. There is also an internal legal support - crucial for the progression of energy projects! Your role would play a key part in heading up the development process and driving business success in the long term.As a Senior Development Manager, your role would surround:* Full lifecycle management of Solar, Wind, and BESS projects from inception through to "ready to build" stage.* Management of negotiations at different stages of development - land acquisition, planning conditions, stakeholder engagement, grid connection etc.* Internal collaboration and ensuring efficient liaison between different areas/teams in the development lifecycle.* Leadership/mentoring of junior team members as well as working alongside other leaders within the business.Prior experience in the development of utility scale renewable energy is crucial to this role as they would need you to hit the ground running both in terms of projects and playing a leading role in the team. This would be a great role for an experienced Development Manager looking to step up into a Senior role or someone already in that leadership role looking to be a part of a company that prides itself on being highly collaborative and innovative.Apply to learn more.Piper Maddox is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
