Behaviour Mentor Opportunity at a Secondary School in Haringey - Immediate Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people? Do you believe you can make a positive impact on students' lives? Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in Haringey, seeking a Behaviour Mentor to start immediately.

In this role, you will work closely with students who have behavioural needs, helping them stay focused, supporting their social and emotional development, and providing strategies to navigate challenging situations in the future.

We are looking for a confident individual with experience in behaviour mentoring or a similar position. You will need to be compassionate but firm, and possess strong administrative skills. Knowledge of SIMS is desirable to log student progress effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one in-class support for students
  • Maintain a positive presence around the school, encouraging good behaviour
  • Ensure low-level disruption is minimised and promote a positive learning environment
  • Manage and de-escalate behavioural incidents while teaching self-regulation techniques
  • Supervise students in the isolation room, ensuring they complete their classwork
  • Monitor and manage detention sessions

The school is a large secondary, rated "Good" by Ofsted, offering excellent opportunities for career progression due to its size. It is conveniently located just a 7-minute walk from the nearest station, with multiple bus routes nearby, and on-site parking available.

Position Details:

  • Term-time only, starting immediately until July 2025
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15am - 4:15pm
  • Daily rate: £95 - £105, depending on experience
