About Us

The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Supervise the isolation room: Provide a calm, structured environment for students removed from lessons, ensuring they remain engaged in learning activities.
  • Support students with challenging behaviour: Work one-to-one or in small groups to address behaviour issues, helping students develop self-regulation and positive coping strategies.
  • On-call duties: Respond promptly to situations across the school where additional support is needed, ensuring consistent behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with pastoral staff and teachers to implement behaviour plans and strategies tailored to individual students.
  • Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students to encourage better behaviour and engagement.
What We're Looking For

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic individual who:

  • Has experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioural difficulties (preferred but not essential).
  • Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Is confident in managing and de-escalating conflict effectively.
  • Is committed to promoting positive behaviour and supporting students' personal growth.

This role is ideal for those with experience in youth work, coaching, or education support, as well as graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in behaviour management.
