Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives? Do you have experience working with children and the ability to support and inspire them to succeed? We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in a vibrant Secondary School located in Southwark. This rewarding role is available to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year.

Role Responsibilities:

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, fostering positive attitudes and resilience.
  • Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored behaviour strategies.
  • Act as a role model, encouraging self-confidence, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, offering insights to adapt support plans as needed.
  • Support classroom management and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and school staff to promote a positive school culture.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school, youth work, or similar setting.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people's development and well-being.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, empathetic approach to managing behaviour.
  • A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service (essential).
