We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in a vibrant Secondary School located in Southwark. This rewarding role is available to start immediately and will continue until the end of the academic year.
Role Responsibilities:As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, fostering positive attitudes and resilience.
- Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement tailored behaviour strategies.
- Act as a role model, encouraging self-confidence, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions.
- Monitor and report on student progress, offering insights to adapt support plans as needed.
- Support classroom management and create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Build strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and school staff to promote a positive school culture.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in a school, youth work, or similar setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting young people's development and well-being.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, empathetic approach to managing behaviour.
- A valid DBS check registered on the Update Service (essential).
