The Role

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to help them manage and improve their behaviour.
  • Build positive relationships with students to encourage self-confidence, resilience, and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to develop and implement tailored behaviour strategies.
  • Offer support in classrooms, during unstructured times (breaks/lunch), and in specialised behaviour intervention sessions.
  • Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.

This role is full-time and will run until the end of the academic year, offering a great opportunity to develop your career in education.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people, ideally in an educational, youth work, or similar setting.
  • A calm, empathetic, and proactive approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, staff, and parents.
  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Commitment to supporting the needs of secondary school students.
