About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This role is ideal for someone with experience in mentoring, youth work, or behaviour support who wants to make a real impact on students' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students struggling with behaviour and engagement.

  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and parents to develop strategies to support positive behaviour.

  • Act as a role model, helping students build confidence, resilience, and social skills.

  • Support the implementation of the school's behaviour policy and assist in managing challenging behaviour.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment for all students.

Requirements
  • Previous experience working with young people in a mentoring, youth work, teaching assistant, or behaviour support role.

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting students.

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to de-escalate challenging situations and promote positive behaviour.

  • A desire to make a real difference in young people's lives.
