About the Role:LTF Recruitment is looking for a motivated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to join a large and well-respected secondary school in Tower Hamlets, located close to Mile End station. This bustling school serves a diverse student body and is known for its strong emphasis on student well-being, academic achievement and personal development. With a dedicated support team and a forward-thinking approach, the school is committed to providing every student with the tools to succeed, both academically and socially.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in supporting students who may struggle with behavioural, emotional, and social challenges. Your role will involve working closely with students to help them develop positive behaviours, manage emotions, and build the skills needed for success in school and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 mentoring and group support for students who need help managing behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Work with teachers, pastoral staff, and SENCo to implement personalised behaviour strategies
  • Encourage positive behaviours and social skills, helping students develop resilience and confidence
  • Monitor student progress and adapt strategies as needed, providing regular feedback to senior staff
  • Support students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, ensuring they receive the appropriate interventions
  • Promote a safe and inclusive school environment where all students feel supported

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs or additional support requirements
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices and behaviour management techniques
