Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a secondary school in Haringedy, North London to find a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. If you're experienced in supporting students with behavioural needs and want to have a meaningful impact, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you'll play a crucial role in helping students stay focused and develop social and emotional skills. We're looking for someone empathetic, assertive, and confident, with strong administrative abilities. Familiarity with SIMS for logging student progress is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-to-one classroom support to students.
• Maintain a visible presence across the school to promote positive behaviour.
• Manage and de-escalate behavioural incidents, offering strategies for self-regulation.
• Support students in the isolation room to stay on task with classwork.
• Oversee and manage detention sessions, ensuring students remain engaged.

This is a large secondary school in Haringey rated "Good" by Ofsted. With excellent career progression opportunities, this school is easily accessible by public transport, and staff enjoy on-site parking facilities.

• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract: Term-time only, until July 2025(p[ossibility of becomig permanent after that)
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 4:00 pm
• Pay Rate: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)

Please note that there will be a lot of time spent walking for this role, as the role involves patrolling corridors and escorting students around the school.
