Behaviour Mentor Opportunity - North London

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join a secondary school in North London. This role is an excellent opportunity to support students with behavioural needs, fostering their academic progress and emotional well-being.

The Role

We're looking for a confident and compassionate individual who can:

  • Provide one-on-one support to students in the classroom.
  • Maintain a visible presence around the school to encourage positive behaviour.
  • De-escalate incidents and teach students strategies for self-regulation.
  • Support students in the isolation room, helping them stay focused on their studies.
  • Oversee and manage detention sessions effectively.
  • Log student progress and behavioural records (experience with SIMS is a bonus).
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Empathetic and Assertive: Able to connect with students while maintaining boundaries.
  • Skilled in Behaviour Management: Confident in managing and minimising challenging behaviours.
  • Organised and Detail-Oriented: Strong administrative skills to track progress and provide actionable insights.

Position Details
  • Start Date: January
  • Contract: Term-time only, until July 2025(possibly permanent after that).
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am - 4:15 pm
  • Pay: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)
