We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic secondary school in Southwark. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to making a positive impact on students' lives by providing support, guidance, and encouragement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with students who require behavioural support, helping them engage positively in their education.
  • Implement strategies to manage and improve behaviour, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with students, acting as a role model and mentor.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and SEN staff to implement individual behaviour plans.
  • Support students both in the classroom and during break times, ensuring a safe and inclusive school environment.
  • Help with de-escalation and conflict resolution, promoting positive behaviour strategies.
  • Provide emotional and social support to students who may be experiencing challenges.
Requirements:

Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or similar setting.Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.A calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations.A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed.
