Exams Access Arrangement Assessor

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in Kings Cross/Angel. The successful candidate must be able to start ASAP!

Role Purpose
  • Assess students for exam access arrangements and collaborate with curriculum staff to establish their working methods and necessary accommodations.
  • Collaborate with the ALS Manager to raise awareness of dyslexia and learning difficulties, providing staff training and guidance.
  • Oversee referrals and allocations of learning support with the ALS Team.
  • Conduct Access Arrangement Assessments per JCQ regulations, completing Form 8s and supporting EHCP consultations and reviews.
Main Duties
  • Use data to identify learners eligible for access arrangement assessments.
  • Guide Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) in screening and diagnostic assessments, producing reports as needed.
  • Complete and maintain Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for learners.
  • Record and evaluate learners' progress using Promonitor.
  • Collaborate in planning individualized learning support programs based on assessments and teacher reviews.
  • Provide advice to teaching staff on implementing, planning, and monitoring effective interventions for learners with specific learning needs.
Requirements
  • Able to start ASAP!
  • Level 7 in Assessment for Access Arrangements (or equivalent).
  • Recent experience in assessing candidates for Access Arrangements.
  • Experience in guiding young people toward positive outcomes.
  • Able to pass a DBS check
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
