TimePlan are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a an All Girls Secondary School who are looking to appoint a Learning Mentor for September 2024. This is a full-time vacancy, seeking an outstanding candidate to join this outstanding and highly academic school The successful candidate can expect to work in a thriving environment where all members of staff help the children who attend to achieve their full potential.

The job - Learning Mentor

  • Build effective relationships with staff, students and parents to ensure high standards of student behaviour, attendance, punctuality and uniform.
  • Act as a Learning Mentor to Support teachers and Head of Year with delivery of Collective Time, behaviour systems, assemblies, PSHCE, extra curricular options and relevant year group events.
  • Contribute to individualised support plans for behaviour and attendance.
  • Use specialist guidance to inform leading, monitoring and evaluating intervention sessions.
  • Deliver, log and oversee 1:1 and small group academic support and mediation sessions.
  • Use behaviour and attendance data to help monitor the impact of interventions and organise student rewards.
  • Have responsibility for developing expertise in a specific area of behaviour and/or attendance.
  • Cover and support various behaviour duties and detentions, including break time and before and after school.

The successful candidate will

  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Reliable, honest and trustworthy
  • Experience of delivering mentoring and/or behaviour/attendance support
  • Committed to being a role model for staff and students in relation to overall conduct.
